Training for Personnel Working with Animals:

Animal Use Education Course

The appropriate modules of the Animal Use Education Course in ICON must be completed and a passing grade (70%) received. 

• The Regulations and Policies module is required for all personnel.
• The Surgical Training module is required for those individuals performing non-survival or survival surgery.
• All other modules are recommended but not required.

Occupational Health & Safety Questionnaire

• This required questionnaire is sent to the individual's University of Iowa email address upon receipt of an Animal Protocol or amendment.
